Carl and Phyllis
Carl moved to TX in 1982 and graduated from Whitehouse TX in 1983. He attended SAGC in Waxahachie TX and graduated in 1987, with a major in Christian Education. Carl & Phyllis were married August 14th of 1987. Carl worked as an Elementary School teacher in several places. They moved to Beaumont TX in 1995, attending Victory Temple, where Bert Clendennen was the pastor.
In August of 1996 Carl & Phyllis and two very
young daughters, moved to Crimea-Ukraine located on the north
side of the Black Sea, near the larger town of Evpatoria. Their
little village is called Uyootnoye, about 5000 people.
For the first year he was helping David & Nina build a small church. Then David was moved to another location, plus dealing with citizenship papers. Carl and Phyllis stayed and learned the language and became involved in a variety of local ministry opportunities.
As God provided the money and materials, they were able to buy an apartment for their own living arrangements; then they were able to buy another small house and in the process of about 2 years, they built a small church building adjoining the small house. It has become the base of their various ministry outreaches to the homeless men in the area and a place to offer the School Of Christ training program to many students.
They send out a ministry newsletter update almost every month which keeps their mailing list in touch with their ministry activities. If you could find room to add them to your prayer list, please do so. A prayer covering for our missionaries is so desperately needed. Their mission work is supported by the regular contributions of family and friends who feel God's direction to send in the money needed to keep the ministry endeavors operating on a monthly basis. They spend the money that comes in very carefully, realizing that every dollar is a gift from someone who cares about the ministry.
