THE BONDAGE OF FEAR

FEAR as defined by Strongs: phobos, Greek 5401,
phobos, fob'-os; from a primary phebomai (to be put in fear); alarm or fright :- be afraid, + exceedingly, fear, terror.
Webster Dictionary: anxiety, & agitation caused by presence of danger, evil, pain, etc.
To feel reverence and awe…..which is the right kind of fear, leading to worship of God.

CORRUPTION as defined by Strongs: phthora, Greek 5356,
phthora, fthor-ah'; from Greek 5351 (phtheiro); decay, i.e. ruin (spontaneous or inflicted, literal or figurative) :- corruption, destroy, perish.
Webster Dictionary: depravity, bribery, decay, rottenness…. Which of course is the end result and consequences of SIN. The spirit of fear that comes from the tormenting thoughts of the enemy of our souls will cause us to fall into a state of corruption, which can be described as wrong focus, wrong understanding, wrong attitudes, etc.
Galatians 6:8 (NKJV)
For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.

Many, many, many times you will find that God says to his people fear not. However the enemies of Israel had good reason for a great fear of the God of the Israelites.
Genesis 15:1 (NKJV)
After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision, saying, "Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward." (The old KJV will say "fear not")
Exodus 15:16 (NKJV)
Fear and dread will fall on them; By the greatness of Your arm, They will be as still as a stone, Till Your people pass over, O Lord, Till the people pass over Whom You have purchased.

There is a healthy fear, or reverence, of God that is necessary for our right relationship to our Great Big Wonderful God; as in Prov 9:10 --NKJV… "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding." But to entertain fear that equates doubting his will, good intentions, ability to meet our needs, etc. is not acceptable in God's sight. I Pet. 1:7 NKJV "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love and a sound mind." Again in I John 4:18 NKJV -"There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love."

Fear of people, places, or things will cause you to be unable to function in a responsible way and to be productive in your home, work, church and relationships. Fear that is not based on a genuine reverence of God and His Word, is coming from the negative source of the enemy, who will stop at nothing to get you separated from God's plan.

DOUBT IN STRONGS: diakrino, dee-ak-ree'-no; from Greek 1223 (dia) and Greek 2919 (krino); to separate thoroughly i.e. (literal and reflexive) to withdraw from, or (by implication) oppose; figurative to discriminate (by implication decide), or (reflexive) hesitate :- contend, make (to) differ (-ence), discern, doubt, judge, be partial, stagger, waver.

Doubt will cause you to mistrust God, people and circumstances that happen to you. It starts with what seems to be sensible questions, but soon takes you in a direction opposite to faith, hope and love of God. Matthew 14:31 (NKJV) And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, "O you of little faith, why did you doubt?"

UNBELIEF in Strong's - apistia, Greek 570,
apistia, ap-is-tee'-ah; from Greek 571 (apistos); faithlessness, i.e. (negative) disbelief (want of Christian faith), or (positive) unfaithfulness (disobedience) :- unbelief.

Unbelief will soon take over your mental understanding of Scripture, sermons, testimonies of people; and cause you to have a hard heart and ears that can not hear the voice of the Spirit.

Mark 16:14 (KJV) Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen. Hebrews 3:12 (KJV) Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. Hebrews 3:19 (KJV) So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.

Fear -Doubt, and -Unbelief are a progressive pattern of falling away from God's way, love and provision of abundant life in the Kingdom. You must learn to recognize and turn back to the Scripture to replace all the negative thoughts of the enemy. Memorize verses that cause you to believe and trust God's love and power to keep you in all circumstances. He has made a way, paid the full price for complete redemption, and we have no excuse for not walking in His will. If he has commanded us to do anything, he has also given the power and wisdom to keep His commandments. (Mark 14:15-18 - Luke 24:49) NKJV-Acts 2:8 - "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; …"
